Women in Business celebrate Robin Muzzerall, Broodstock Program Manager

To produce a quality product you must start at the beginning. That is the job that Robin Muzzerall has been tasked with in her position as Broodstock Program Manager for Marine Harvest Canada.
Robin works with a team of managers and technicians to produce quality broodstock (the parents) from selected salmon and selected eggs as the basis of the next generation. These eggs and fish are nurtured for up to 3 years to harvest.
Robin obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Mary’s University in Nova Scotia and has over 20 years experience in the aquaculture industry. Robin is enthusiastic about the diversity in the industry and in her own position. “I am fortunate to work with such dedicated people. My job is never boring. When you grow a live animal, a salmon, it is necessary to understand the science of the animal and the chemistry of the water in which it lives. My career of has enabled me to use farming and science skills, to develop management skills, to travel, and to work with people committed not only to their job and industry but to their community, their families and their environment”.
