Marine Harvest Canada is a proud annual supporter of The Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
The event was a tremendous success once again this year. The Campbell River chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada welcomed over 100 walkers and raised over $12,000 for the fight against cystic fibrosis!
All money raised goes toward research for a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF) and to fund CF clinics across Canada. CF, which affects the lungs and digestive system, is the most common, fatal, inherited disease affecting young Canadians. CF Canada is a national, non-profit, voluntary health charity.
The Campbell River chapter would like to extend their sincerest thanks to everyone who came out and walked, all the volunteers who make this event possible and the local businesses who gave so generously. Thank you for helping us to breathe life into the future of those with CF.
Great thanks go out to The Kinsmen Club of C.R., Marine Harvest Canada, Quinsam Coal Corp., Capacity Forest Management, Dairy Queen, Thrifty Foods, On the Rocks Climbing Gym, The All in One Party Shop, Zellers-Nanaimo, St. John Ambulance, C.R. Fire Department, Boston Pizza, Woodland Rogue, Sparkles the Clown, Quality Foods and Citizens on Patrol.
